I believe poem

I Believe
Credo

I believe in dreams.
I believe that dreams are more than just illusions
They are our own twisted view of reality.
I believe that dreams tell the truth when we are lying to ourselves, they show us what we don’t want to see, and they show us our faults and how we are doing things wrong.
I believe dreams take us so far from reality that they keep us from losing our sanity.

I don’t believe that the Devil and Jesus were brothers like some religions do.
I do not believe in Buddhism.
I do not believe that our whole lives are already planned out for us because you choose what happens.
I do not believe that religion controls your life.
I do not believe that the people who love the same gender have bought a one way ticket to hell.

I wish I believed in Happily Ever After’s because then life would be so much better.
I wish I believed animals could talk so lonely people wouldn’t be so alone.
I wished I believed that a dog named Scooby Doo could really solve crimes because then there would be a crazy dog solving crimes, which I think is very strange but very entertaining.

Believe it or not I believe in birds.
I believe birds are smarter than they look because they always have that knowing look in their little eyes.
I believe birds are lucky because they have the freedom to fly away when they choose like so many of us wish we did.
I believe birds are beautiful creatures.
I believe that birds are mistreated and underestimated because they are so much more capable then we give them credit for.
I believe in the simplicity of birds.

I believe the most amazing event in the known or unknown universe was when I met my best friend.
She is quite, funny, sweet, caring, and an amazing writer.
She has her sad gloomy days, but really who doesn’t?
I don’t know what I would have done without her.
She is the most amazing person I have ever met.

I believe that I wouldn’t have survived this year without her.
